Engineering & Design - Phase Noise Testing

One of the many specialty test capabilities within Bliley's Engineering and Design is single side-band phase noise testing. Bliley uses the HP 3048 Phase Noise test station considered an industry standard for obtaining noise density information about a signal source. The HP system uses the method known as phase-quadrature to suppress the carrier level so that noise levels as low as -175 dBc can be resolved within 1000 Hz of the signal tone. Bliley also has a balanced bridge system specifically designed to measure the noise of crystal resonators directly without incorporation into oscillator circuits.
